Cremation and Burial

Service Options

A memorial service can be elaborate or simple; it can be traditional or non-traditional. Today, arrangements are as individual as the persons for whom they are made.

Planning the Tribute Ceremony

In arranging for a tribute ceremony, it is important to communicate your wishes or those of the deceased, to your funeral director or advance planning representative. They are there to serve you and to give advice and direction about available service options. They can help you plan a personalized service that will be a meaningful final event.

Honor

A celebration ceremony can honor lifetime achievements and recognize service. Our staff can help to arrange military honors for veterans or coordinate special tributes from civic or fraternal organizations that were an important part of a person's life. We can provide bagpipers or other special music. You can display service medals, diplomas, or awards signifying important personal accomplishments as part of the ceremony.

Reflections of a Life

There are many possibilities for designing a unique and memorable tribute service. Families may prefer a special setting or outdoor environment rather than a traditional church or chapel. Personalized ceremonies, such as a dove or balloon release, may be desired. Special music and favorite songs that represent important events in a person's life may be included.

Fond Memories

Tribute ceremonies can also incorporate special memories in many different ways. Our Simpson-Gaus arrangement staff can help create collage boards displaying photographs and personal mementos of your loved one. Our custom "PHOTO MEMORIAL TRIBUTE" allows the scanning of family photos (25, 50, up to 100) for display during calling hours, at a service, or even for a home memorial service. Audio, video, or DVD recordings of important lifetime events may be played. Poetry, scripture, and the favorite memories of lifelong friends can be shared.

Our first concern is to help families create a ceremony that truly reflects their loved one's life, touches all who attend in a personal way, and brings comfort to those who are grieving.
